In this special episode, Cosmos, MD (she/they) speaks with her friend, Lilly Ann Velez (she/her) about her courageous journey through discovering and uncovering her identity.
Lilly Ann Velez is a trans female who vulnerably and powerfully shares her personal story with Cosmos. It's a story that reflects on family and traditional culture, self awareness, personal bravery and acceptance and on top of everything, deep self love.
Listen with love and compassion. Remember that today, in all parts of the world, trans humans are in fear of living their authentic lives and we can all be a part of changing that. After you listen, take a minute to think of someone you know who's trans and reach out to them. Tell them you care and are a true ally.
As Lilly states, allies ACT. Think about an action you can take to support trans humans and their rights.
