Welcome to Season 7!
Today is July 4th and in the US, that's Independence Day. Not everyone is feeling that celebratory right now and for good reason. We have had attacks on our LGBTQIA+ community, black lives, indigenous tribes, humans who identify as female with rights being removed and challenged, gun violence. Everyday we seem to find a new ruling in the courts that take us back 249 years. and it makes me pause.
What does independence mean? Why do we celebrate a day for a nation that isn't honoring those living in it?
Can we find a way to celebrate ourselves instead? Find that freedom of being and honor yourself and your beautiful spirit. And if you feel called to celebrate the country that you live in and it's independence, enjoy it!
